James Taylor at Christmas

James Taylor at Christmas

I am biased of course because I love James Taylor's voice...! but this is sublime for a christmas feel anytime of the year...even if,like me, you are not vaguely religious, all the songs just feel 'right'!

Bad For You Baby

Bad For You Baby

If you like Moore, then here is the latest to add to your collection. It's pretty formula stuff - great blues rock - some boogie, some a bit heavier, and of course wonderful long ballards with superb guitar wizardy, delivered only how Moore can.

I won't go through track for track, because if your a fan you will get the drift, this is simply more and more of what Gary does best. A couple of noticeable mentions though. How about the 10 minute long "I Love You More Than You'll ever Know" epic? Sheer class over and over again, and "Mojo Boogie" whioch is foot tapping stonkingly good and subtle tones of Quo! Another track has some welcome female backing vocals, which adds some extra to the album.

All in all another Moore classic if you like his stuff or trying him out -this album delivers.

King of Pop: Deluxe Box Set Edition

King of Pop: Deluxe Box Set Edition

This deluxe edition of Michael Jackson the king of pop has a lot more to it in terms of more songs that would have been found on the number ones best of like Dirty Diana whilst disc 3 has a number of classic rarities that have never been released before like can't get outta the rain a single b-side edit that has never been released before and boosted by the thriller megamix which may not be to eveybody elses tastes but atleast this has a lot more to it than the single disc version which i felt was lightweight in comparison to the deluxe box set edition of Michael Jackson the king of pop.

Ode to J. Smith

Ode to J. Smith

I have to admit Travis has never totally sold me. The music has been very easy-listening and not particularly exciting...sort of like Take That. I bought this cd because I dj and need to have the newest material by British contemporary artists. I popped it on in the car and was surprised to hear an edgier (though not together appealing) on the opening tracks. I persevered and continued to listen and about half-way through the cd I found some songs I really liked a lot. The acoustic based "Gotta Get Up" is very catchy and instantly singable...this is my favorite track. My other favorite "Friends" has more of that signature Travis sound but the lyrics are so lovely that it sucked me in.All in all it's a very listenable cd and worth your time.

The Very Best Of While My Guitar Gently Weeps

The Very Best Of While My Guitar Gently Weeps

While this CD and the three CD's in the series may containe some very good Guitar song I feel it can not be in anyway a the greatest album of Guitar songs as they e seems to have missed out music from what will have to be two of the Greatist Guitar playes ever - "Jimmy Hendrix" and "David Gilmour"(Pink Floyd)

Grace (New Version)

Grace (New Version)

A ray of sunlight in humanity's tear.

This album is sublime from beginning to end. Stunning instrumentation, stunning vocals, stunning artistic vision, more passion than I have ever heard recorded, feverish dreamscapes and spiritual invocations, this is rock music's finest hour. Full stop. Buy this album. Now. You will be blown away!

The Wall: Remastered

The Wall: Remastered

I don't really know what to say about this, seeing that it's the first Pink Floyd album i've ever bought, except that it's very, very, good. As lots of people have said, it's more of a 'single work' than a collection of songs, and the songs are linked together by all kinds of random sound effects like aeroplanes, screaming teachers and voices on telephones. As for my favorite tracks, they are probrably 'Nobody Home', 'Is there anybody out there?', 'goodbye Blue skies', 'empty spaces', 'one of my turns' and 'Happiest days of our lives/another brick in the wall part2'. It's amazing how this album works so well, it has such an ambitious concept. I won't bother discussing the 'plot', because nearly everyone has mentioned it and it would be better if you just found it out for yourself. Buy this album! It's not a waste of money!

Greatest Hits

Greatest Hits

I received this great CD for Christmas 2007. I'd never really listened to any of their CDs before, and only ever heard and reconized "Don't Stop Me Now" a few times. But now I am crazy about them and their music: it's so cool and catchy! All the songs are brilliant! You should definetly buy this! It is FAB! And if you don't atleast like them now, you will after listening to this!
